Notes

Notes (1)

Among the Ferrarese miniaturists who followed Tura’s style were some who were certainly of Flemish or German origin. In 1452 Tura worked in collaboration with one of the most important among them, Giorgio d’Alemagna, as he did with the creator of small sculptural works, Charles de Mauléon, known as Carlo delle Bombarde (Ruhmer Eberhard, Tura. Paintings and D rawings, Complete edition, New York: Phaidon Publishers Inc., 1958, p. 9).

Notes (2)

Fabrizo Lollini confirmed the attribution of this miniature to Giorgio di Alemagna.
